Welcome to Gulf Stream

Gulf Stream came into existence around 1916 when the ocean highway, also called A1A, was opened up. Gorgeous Australian Pines were planted along the road, in part, to protect against high winds off of the ocean. In the early 1900s, the Phipps and Carnegie Mellon families began to clear land and cultivate 500 acres of virgin land. This land would be ideal for seasonal residences, a golf course, and polo fields. It is today The Town of Gulf Stream and has continued to grow while adhering to the principles established by the founding families. Today there are roughly 1000 residents, many of whom are seasonal.

It is a stunning drive up the Ocean (A1A) Highway through Gulf Stream. The Australian Pine canopy still exists and glimpses of the ocean are spectacular. Small, exclusive estates and homes abound. Many oceanfront homes are gated with private drives. Privacy prevails here. Drive slowly and enjoy the lush tropical tree and flower-lined street with gorgeous flowers. You will also catch the breathtaking views of estates in this exquisite town which is tucked between Boynton Beach and Delray Beach. Gulf Stream is ranked as the eleventh highest-income place in the United States with a population less than 1,000. Very exclusive with golf on the ocean and............ a skip to Palm Beach.
