The Landings

 

The Landings is a manned 24×7 gated community of single-family homes located on North University Drive at the intersection with Holmberg Road. Residents enter through a beautifully landscaped gated area into the community. Homes in The Landings range from 4 – 7 bedrooms with different floorplans and front elevations. Homes are between 2,000 square feet to over 4800 square feet of living space. Homes were built in the early to late 1990s and sit on large-sized lots, many on the lake. Some homes are courtyard style where you enter into a large tropical courtyard with a pool.

 

This small community has lovely amenities on an island which you reach via a charming bridge. Amenities include a large park with a playground, picnic and BBQ area, jogging trail, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Children enjoy this “private island” and often fish. This community feeds to the fine Parkland schools.

 

The Landings is a skip to the City Hall and Library and to Barkland, the dog park. It is also very close to the sports/soccer fields and to Parkland’s Community Center. The children who reside here at The Landings attend Parkland’s top-rated, and well-regarded school system. Parkland sponsors an after-school program at the Community Center and elementary school children are picked up after school and ride to the Community Center on a school bus. Parents may direct the staff to help their children after school with different things including homework.

 

Within 5 minutes residents can be shopping at Publix the main grocery store, Walmart, with easy access to the Sawgrass Expressway which takes you to both I95 and the Florida Turnpike and is no more than 7 minutes away by car. Residents are only 15 minutes to the Boca Raton Towne Center Mall and about 20 minutes to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. The beach is 20 minutes due east.

 

The Fort Lauderdale airport is 30 minutes southeast; Miami airport is 45 minutes south; Palm Beach airport is 1 hour northeast.
