Waters Edge

 

Waters Edge is a gated community with 44 single-family homes centered around a 25-acre lake. The homes are one and two-story, with 4-6 bedrooms, 2-4 baths, and 2-3 car garages. This community was built in the late 1990s. Waters Edge has a playground for the children and is centrally located in Parkland with easy reach to the Parkland Library and with a short walk to the high school.

 

Waters Edge is very close to Parkland’s City Hall and Library and to Barkland, the dog park. It is also very close to the sports/soccer fields and to Parkland’s Community Center. The children who reside in Waters Edge attend Parkland’s top-rated schools. Parkland sponsors an after-school program at the Community Center and elementary school children are picked up after school and ride to the Community Center on a school bus. Parents may direct the staff to help their children after school with different things including homework.

 

Within 5 minutes residents can be shopping at Publix the main grocery store, one of 2 Walmart stores, with easy access to the Sawgrass Expressway which takes you to both I95 and the Florida Turnpike is no more than 7 minutes away by car. Residents are only 15 minutes to the Boca Raton Towne Center Mall and about 20 minutes to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. The beach is 20 minutes due east. The Fort Lauderdale airport is 30 minutes southeast; Miami airport is 45 minutes south; Palm Beach airport is 1 hour northeast.
