The Ranches

 

Known for its acreage, BBB Ranches is situated behind the cow pasture and equestrian area on Holmberg Road which is Parkland’s original main road running east to west. BBB Ranches is just west of Riverside Drive and just east of the City of Parkland building complex including the Parkland Library. It is known for its acreage and greenspace, which is very difficult to find in Parkland and southeast Florida for that matter.

 

BBB Ranches is beloved for its acreage, horse farms, flower farms, and wide-open spaces. It is not uncommon to see folks riding their horses down the streets, hosting horse training classes, hosting mini horse riding events, and more. In this non-gated community, homes typically sit on 2-5 acre lots. Some of the homes that have been recently built are beautiful estates reminiscent of the Mizner-style architecture. Many of the residents have horses for equestrian purposes. There is no homeowner’s association here. This neighborhood is quiet and unassuming but very in demand.

 

Homes in this neighborhood are diverse and truly custom, ranging from ranch style, Mediterranean estates, and modern ranch style to truly contemporary. The grounds and landscaping can be casual to formal with grand gated entrances and tucked-away homes. Looks can deceive and some of the interiors of these homes are absolutely stunning with fine interior and exterior architectural features.

 

Privacy abounds here and the hidden tropical backyards are stunning and may feature grand pool areas with adjacent pavilions, private stand-alone outdoor saunas, patios with multiple seating areas, and adjacent guest houses. Add in the extraordinary outdoor lighting and tropical landscaping and you are in love. These features are unseen from the entrance and road and are what makes this fine area one to consider when purchasing a home. Some seclusion and privacy.

 

As we would expect, homes in this neighborhood are in the multi-millions depending on the acreage, scale, and style of the home.

 

BBB Ranches offers easy nearby access to the Sawgrass Parkway which takes people to the Turnpike and to I95. It is a short distance away from city hall and the library. The Parkland Farmer’s Market is also held in the open fields at the entrance to this neighborhood in Spring. Shopping and restaurants are nearby.

 

Two elementary schools (Park Trails and Heron Heights), Westglades Middle School and Stoneman Douglas High School are very nearby. Fort Lauderdale and the Fort Lauderdale Airport are about 30-40 minutes away depending on traffic. Boca Raton is 15-20 minutes north. Palm Beach is 40-45 minutes north.
