Mira Lago

 

Mira Lago with 530 homes is a newer gated community in the northwestern edge of Parkland built by Lennar Homes. Each new home comes with Lennar’s Everything’s Included® luxury package of premium appliances. Mira Lago was designed to give water access to as many people as possible as the community sits on Lake Majesty, a 240-acre lake. Almost every home in Mira Lago comes with a panoramic lake view.

 

Luxury homes range between 2,100 to over 4,700 square feet under living areas. There are many 3-6 bedroom plans to choose from one and two-story. The builder has divided Mira Lago into sub-sections driven to a degree by pricing: The Estates Collection; the Executive Collection and TownParc townhomes. The townhomes have full access to the main country club and Sports Plex.

 

 

 

The homes are built to the most current building standards with impact glass in light of Florida hurricanes. They are energy efficient. This provides buyers with multiple benefits, including cost savings on the electric bill and homeowner insurance savings. The impact windows provide soundproofing so that outside noise is almost eliminated and the homes are more secure. The lawns and shrubs are taken care of by the HOA. This is part of the HOA dues the residents pay.

Schools in the area are very nearby. Minutes away as Parkland is small. Heron Heights Elementary is about six minutes away and provides a unique learning experience through “multiage” classes which permit the unique blending of two age groups/grades so that the younger children have exposure to the children one year ahead – serving the purpose of inspiration and mini mentoring.

 

There are also private elementary schools in the area: Mary Help of Christian, Kol Tikvah, and North Broward Prep. Other private schools are not as nearby – maybe 30 minutes away. Parkland has only one middle and one high school Westglades Middle and Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

 

Residents are about 25 minutes due east to Deerfield Beach; only 15 minutes to the Boca Raton Towne Center Mall and about 20 minutes to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. There are 3 airports that serve the area: The Fort Lauderdale airport is 30 minutes southeast; Miami airport is 45 minutes south; and Palm Beach airport is 1 hour northeast.
